18:17 The king of Assyria sent his commanding general, the chief eunuch, and the chief adviser 1  from Lachish to King Hezekiah in Jerusalem, 2  along with a large army. They went up and arrived at Jerusalem. They went 3  and stood at the conduit of the upper pool which is located on the road to the field where they wash and dry cloth. 4

18:2 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. 5  His mother 6  was Abi, 7  the daughter of Zechariah.

2 Kings 1:17

Context

1:17 He died just as the Lord had prophesied through Elijah. 8  In the second year of the reign of King Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah, Ahaziah’s brother Jehoram replaced him as king of Israel, because he had no son. 9
